Overview
Zijin is a first-year PhD student in the Department of German Studies at Cornell University. They hold a BA in Fundamentals and Philosophy and a Master’s in Divinity from the University of Chicago. They are interested in the intellectual history from the Enlightenment through Modernity, focusing on how the relation between philosophy and art bears on questions of metaphysics, epistemology and ethics. More broadly, Zijin is interested in critical theory, poetics, psychoanalysis and philosophy of religion.
